Gizmodon

recently i bought the March issue of T3 magazine.... What made me buy such mag
are: 1)cover girls- featuring 2 channel [V] vjs Cindy Burbridge & Sarah Tan who were both babes,, 2) content- shows head 2 head comparisons of top 2 vendors per gadget, and d usual reviews 3)price tag of 40 pesos.

Im pretty much concerned of the comparisons between Palm and Pocket Pc's, although its somewhat a short article it goes in conjuction with the individual reviews of various handheld devices. Im into PDA's these days although i dont own one. Its fun to look into certain specs of each device. At the same time wondering when i could acquire one (It seems impractical for me as of the moment and I cant afford the handheld I want, hehe). Every spec will solicit an ohh.. or an ahhh. I always prefer a road warrior gadget, which means each function will be usefull at most situations and something you could rely on at desperate situations and it has to be durable. It has to withstand extremities. I love it when it can be dropped anywhere without losing its functionalty or you can throw it at the bully that snatches your meal back in grade school, well not that I'm clumsy but I always want it to live more than its desired use. In additon, I also have an eye for rugged stuffs.

One feature that is important is battery life, especially for "mobiles"., Battery life is VERY IMPORTANT!! The gadget's feature is only as good as its battery life could allow it. So lets say you have to activate Wi-Fi for data transfer but the gadget will shut itself off when the file is 99% completed (dont you hate it when that happens) just because battery has drained out. And to think that you already spent significant amount of time for file transfer.

It is a always a big challenge for gadget manufacturers to add more features to the thing without consuming large amounts of power while using the "feature". Its all about power efficiency. Thats why Im not impressed at the latest models that boasts of great features but lasts for a minute amount of time. Can they have a separate model that has the latest battery technology but has the basic features,
like a meal course without dessert. Well at least I'm full.
