(True Balls)shooting

do you know what it feels when the company's communication and network depends on you??.., That's what I do. For the past 2 months I've been in the help and planning desk. I feel the job of supporting users sometimes is detrimental to planning the system in a sense that time is spent more on troubleshooting. The reward that I get is when the user smiles or expresses their gratitude when their problem is solved. Although I dont get to solve their problems all the time.
This job serves as a refresher for me and sometimes a system check, a warning of upcoming bigger problem. and Occasionally I do get the best of both worlds; planning and troubleshooting.
Everything must be done . To comfort the user that everything is goin to be ok. Venturing into the unknown when there is no ready solution. Creating a win-win solution when the user's first wish isn't feasible. Crossing my fingers before hitting the "Enter" button. Doesnt include words I mumble with a R-18 rating when I dont get the desired results.
All these things require guts. Kaya ko to'.. :)

New to RSS?

what if you could read all your news, blogs, stocks updates etc and other relevant information on a single location instead of visiting each site for a particular info? Yes you can!, by RSS. For starters, you can sign up at My Yahoo!., you can even get a peek at your Yahoo Mail inbox. Go ahead and start choosing your contents promoted by Yahoo. Other than that you must provide the RSS URL of the site for it to integrate in My Yahoo. More RSS in My Yahoo can be found here. For just RSS click here.
For example if you're an avid fan of froz80's blog :D or you want to express you're hatred towards this author :( , the little white-in-orange "XML" button ()at the left side indicates that my blog supports RSS. It usually points to the site's RSS file. If you click the button, don't worry about the text in your browser -- all you need is the URL in the browser's web address bar (in my case its "http://feeds.feedburner.com/froz80").
To add the RSS feed to My Yahoo!, simply right click on the orange XML button to "Copy Shortcut." Go to My Yahoo!'s RSS edit page and paste ("Ctrl V") it into the "Add URL" box. or paste "http://feeds.feedburner.com/froz80".
Now you can view my beloved blog even if you forgot the blog's site url. :D

Superstar Magic

Donning the uniform of Orlando Magic., #33 guard/forward Grant Hill will start at 2005 NBA ALL-Star Game in Denver on Feb.20. Together with Vince Carter, Shaquille O'Neal, Allen Iverson and LeBron James for the Eastern Conference. It's very exciting to see Grant Hill play again. Hill is doing well since coming back from a career threatening injury. Hill was suppose to start the 2001 All-Star but sat it out because of a season ending injury. Since then has played for only 47 games in 4 years (btw there are 82 games per basketball year/season).
In college, Hill(as a Duke Blue Devil) beat Michigan Wolverines and their Fab Five freshmen players(including my fave player Chris Webber.. :(.. ) to capture the 1992 NCAA Men's Basketball Title.
Hill also inspired me to basketball card collecting. In 1994 I knew Grant Hill was going to be a superstar. And I had a chance to get my hands on his rookie card, convincing my buddy for a trade in exchange for Karl Malone (w/c is also an icon but far less value in the market). I have to give credit to TJ for a great trade. A month after he would mumble for giving up Grant Hill for it's value, you had to see the look on his face (hehe, sorry bai walang bawian :) ). At that time it's worth $15. He also had no clue to how good Grant Hill is. My first good value card.
And for those of you who didn't know Grant Hill is the proud hubbie of Tamia, yep the singer, songwriter and actress whos singles include "Officially Missing You" and "So Into You".

Grant Hill+Tamia=Lovely Couple

Grant Hill is a guy we all feel for. Not only was he likeable on the court, but he was likeable off the court as well. You still have that fear that he will get injured yet again. But so far, so good. It's nice to know that nice guys can finish first in the NBA. Hill is doing well, perhaps he will be able to go back to doing Sprite commercials.

Gaining Mass

This is for all fitness buffs who are trying to gain muscle mass. and since i advocate a drug-free weight training especially hardgainers. Hardgainers are defined as persons having difficulty in gaining mass with high volume training (more than 3 times/wk training, more than 2x training of body part per wk). If your not genetically gifted to respond high volume training or don't do steroids then you are a hardgainer. Dont worry, you belong to a large group (60-90%). For hardgainers who value every bit of muscle mass here goes...

1.)Weight Train - focus on compound exercises squat, deadlift, bench press, overhead press, rows involve the most muscle in each exercise. Forget isolation exercise. If you want to get big then recruit more muscles in each exercise. Train in heavy, low repetitions. Heavy means that your capable of lifting the load in 6-12 reps. If you can lift it more than 12 the load is light, additional weight is necessary.

2.)Observe perfect form - exercises train target muscles only in perfect form. This is also necessary to avoid injury

3.)Train no more than thrice weekly- hardgainers need more rest than training days.

4.)Sleep - at least 8 hrs. Muscle grows while you REST(i.e sleep) NOT IN THE GYM.

5.)Progressive Poundage- to put the muscle in a state of shock it must be subjected to consistent stress to stimulate growth. Either increasing weights or reps enables the muscle to adjust. Muscle growth is necessary for the body to cope up with increasing weight. Our body has the abilty to adapt to "stressors" and maintaining the same workout will not encourage growth.

6.)Eat more often - small but frequent meals sustains the body nourishment all day. The body can also assimilate a certain number calories each meal. To grow the body must acquire more calories than it can burn. Quality food consisting of complex carbs and protein in greater percentage (than fat) to avoid excess fat in growing as much as possible. Protein ( in grams) intake must be equivalent to pounds of your lean body weight each day for muscle growth and repair.

That's it. Train Hard and Smart and be BIG!!.
